Askelie — AI Assistant

The in-app conversational assistant — run guided actions and ask about your data

Askelie is Contract intELIEgence’s built-in AI assistant. It appears as a floating button in the bottom-right corner of every screen (for users who have access) and helps you in two ways: it runs guided actions — such as creating a contract or raising a change request — by walking you through a short form, and it answers questions about your data in plain language.

1. Opening & using the assistant

  1. Open it — click the Askelie avatar in the bottom-right corner. The chat window opens; click the avatar again or Close to hide it.
  2. Ask — type a message and press Enter. An animated “typing” indicator shows while Askelie is working, and the conversation scrolls to the newest reply.
  3. Act on its replies — Askelie answers in a few ways you can interact with (see below).
  4. Manage the conversation — the ⋯ menu in the header lets you Clear (wipe the messages), Reset (start a fresh conversation), or Close. The conversation also clears if you refresh the page or sign out.

Ways Askelie replies

Reply typeWhat it looks like / what you do
Text answerA written answer, sometimes with links or a results table.
ButtonsInline choices such as Proceed / Cancel to start or stop an action — just click one.
Quick repliesA row of suggested chips; tap one to send it.
Pick from a listIf several records match (e.g. two suppliers both called “Acme”), Askelie asks you to choose the right one from a dropdown before continuing.
A short formFor guided actions, Askelie shows a form with fields already filled where it can, suggested values to pick from, and required fields marked. Fill it in and click Submit (or Cancel).
File uploadWhen a step needs a document, choose Browse or Upload, pick a PDF, and upload — you’ll see a confirmation when it’s attached.

2. Guided actions

Tell Askelie what you want to do and it walks you through it step by step, collecting only what it needs. It checks your permissions first, so you’re only offered actions you’re allowed to perform, and it confirms (Proceed / Cancel) before making any change.

ActionWhat it doesTry saying
Create a contractWalks you through a new contract, filling in fields from a document you provide where possible.“Create a contract”
Add an existing contractAttaches an existing signed contract document so it can be brought into the workbench.“Add an existing contract”
Raise a change requestStarts a Contract Change Request (CCR) and collects the change details.“Raise a change request”
Approve a change requestApproves or rejects a pending CCR.“Approve a CCR”
View a change requestShows the details of a CCR.“View a CCR”
My profileShows your own user and profile information.“About me”
Note: You can Cancel a guided action at any point, and Askelie confirms before it saves anything — nothing changes until you submit.

3. Ask about your data

Beyond guided actions, you can ask Askelie questions about your records in plain language. It finds the right record, asks you to pick if several match, and answers from your live data.

You can ask aboutExamples
Contracts“What’s the status of contract ABC-001?” · “Which contracts expire next month?”
Suppliers“Show me supplier Acme’s details” · “Which suppliers are pending approval?”
Customers“What’s customer X’s review schedule?”
Departments“List the contracts in the Finance department”
Scope — you only see your own data: Askelie returns only the records your role and organisation are allowed to see. For straightforward look-ups it answers directly; for analytical questions (“how many…”, “total value of…”) it queries your data and returns the answer as a table.

4. Languages

Askelie supports English and German, following your language preference.
